The pedestrians here make me feel safe (even though they are mostly from cultural groups different from mine), as they are mainly non-drinkers and the street does not get rowdy. What makes me feel very unsafe is the huge volume of motorbikes; there are many more now than before the pandemic, and they make unsafe levels of noise. Noise is a known contributor to high blood pressure, and I'm sure this street must often exceed the legal decibel limit, so it is very unsafe. The motorbikes often also use nearby streets that are supposed to be closed to through traffic. This generates unsafe levels of noise too. This is a problem between about midday and 2.00am

Playground needs to be locked over night. Timer switch on light to detract from it being open.

Day is ok. Night time the gate is left unlocked with large light left on which encourages people to gather.

Anti social behaviour, especially on weekend nights. The gate is not locked. Hackney council refuse to lock it. The light is left on which encourages people to gather.

Employees to not congregate around the many bicycles on the street. To not gather in groups & discuss women in a degrading manner. To not ride in the pedestrian alley. To realise a large group is intimidating when walking alone past the small doorway.

Open 18 hours a day from a small doorway, Large group of males overheard on more than one occasion openly discussing inappropriate language regarding women & also discussing violent behaviour. Rowdy & intimidating. Bikes constantly riding in pedestrian alley. Do not give pedestrians right of way. Situated opposite vulnerable/sheltered housing.

In late evening hours, I do not feel safe walking in the area south of Graham Road/East of Queensbridge/ all the way to London Fields. There are absolutely no cars coming through. It is empty. And I feel scared to walk around by myself. I once ran home from a friends house late one evening because there were some men making me feel uncomfortable. Its a shame that there is no through traffic that would ensure there may be intervention or help if needed.

I would never walk the canal after sunset. Its not monitored- lots of people rough sleeping here.
